Canvas Acrylic Project and Construction Paper Fun

I feel a little guilty,  but I have been obsessively stalking pinterest and etsy for inspiration  for Nate's nursery that could become DIY projects. I found one painting on etsy I adored on etsy but the seller wanted $50.00 (plus shipping) for four small paintings.  The design was very simply and I found a couple of other sellers who did things similar....

So I decided to make my own version of it.  And that only cost me about $10.00 ( $8.00 for three 8x11 canvases and 1.99 for the wooden airplane). I also ruined a sponge that I had around the house and used the acrylic paints that I already owned.

I also used the final frame I picked up from Ikea for another construction paper project.  I'm still torn about this one.  I really like it, but am wondering if the letters are too similar to the background.  Opinions?
