Pinterest Projects!

Scott and I are doing great with play dates.  Now, we need to up our game when it comes to in-house activities.  We need more art,  more sensory play,  and more innovative games/activities.

Here are our first two Pinterest-inspired craft projects:

Project 1: Family "Portrait," or Daddy's, Mommy's, and Scott's hand prints when Scott was 1.5 years old.  For some reason,  using tempera paint on simple construction paper did not work so well.  The paper got kind of wrinkly.  I'll probably try this again when Nate comes with different paper. 

Project 2:  Crayola Finger Paint,  Painter's Tape, and Canvas. 

Step One:  Cover the high chair and its tray with newspaper.  Let the darling little one practice finger paint on paper. 

 Step Two:   Take cute in process pictures!

Step Three:   Use the painter's tape on the canvas to write out what you want, and watch the kid have fun painting.  Be careful to recognize when you hit the  "my fingers are sticky"cranky toddler moment....

Step Four:  Pre-tape removal!

Step Five:  Marvel at your little Picasso's masterpiece!
